VetCare Canada Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Vet Assistant to counsel and educate clients under the supervision of a Veterinarian or RVT. You will guide on medications, home care, vaccinations, and preventative care while assisting with client communications and animal handling.

You will collaborate with RVTs and staff to ensure a safe, welcoming environment and participate in lab procedures and testing as needed. We offer growth opportunities and a team-focused culture.

About the Role

Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure.
