Job summary

A veterinary services organization in Truro is offering an internship for Veterinary Externs to gain hands-on clinical experience in a supportive environment. Interns will work closely with veterinarians to perform examinations, create treatment plans, and assist in surgical procedures. This externship is open to all veterinary students and ranges from two to eight weeks. A stipend for travel/living expenses is also available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a veterinary program and completing clinical education.
• Strong communication skills required for interaction with the medical team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising veterinarian in day-to-day operations.
• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and manage patient diagnostics and surgeries.
