Job summary

Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP) is seeking a Verification and Validation (V&V) Co-Ordinator for the Ontario Line NC project. You will ensure quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance across design, construction, and testing activities on the NC contract.

The role collaborates with across departments, reviews designs and test reports, manages documentation, supports site inspections, and contributes to non-conformance resolution and site audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in construction quality assurance, V&V engineering, or construction testing.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Experience with construction quality management systems (QA/QC procedures).
• Proficiency in construction software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera).
• Proficient in IBM Doors or a similar requirements management software an asset.
• Ability to identify potential risks and suggest preventive actions.

Responsibilities

• Support other departments with the implementation V&V plans for construction project, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
• Verify and validate the procedures and test reports meet the requirements used in the project and update the traceability matrix.
• Review designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance requirements.
• Participate in on-site inspections and quality assurance testing on materials and work progress.
• Review compliance with requirements, industry standards and other applicable standards.
• Identify and resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, architects, and engineers to address and resolve project issues.
• Manage documentation of test reports, validation records, and compliance checklists.
• Assist in the preparation for site audits and ensure that all construction activities are documented for contract purposes.

The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP).

What is the project?

The Ontario Line (OL) is a fully integrated, stand-alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (NC) project consist of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design-build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract (EGS) and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract (PTUS), with supporting Early Works.

What is the Opportunity?

Verification and Validation (V&V) Co-Ordinator role is to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of project with the requirements both explicit and derived. The ideal candidate will manage and co ordinate verification and validation activities with various departments across the project lifecycle, ensuring that all construction deliverables meet industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations. This role is crucial for ensuring that the construction project meets client expectations and regulatory requirements.
