Job summary

Lignum Veneer Inc. is seeking a veneer production worker at our wood treatment facility in Victoriaville, QC. The role involves operating and assisting with equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and splice veneer sheets, while maintaining production reports and monitoring process indicators.

The position requires 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience, with no degree required. English or French language proficiency is welcome; 40 hours per week with potential overtime, and permanent

Qualifications

• Experience in veneer production is preferred or use-related experience relevant to wood processing.
• 1 year to less than 2 years in related field.
• Ability to read and interpret production reports and monitor indicators.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain production reports.
• Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and splice veneer sheets.
• Observe panel indicators and equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure processes run to specifications.
• Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually.
• Start up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment or machines.
• May work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities.
• Check and monitor product quality.
