Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking a Vendor Management professional to drive continuous improvement of vendor performance and manage vendor relationships. You will analyze data to improve key metrics while coordinating negotiations with procurement and legal teams.

The role requires experience in vendor management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive change in a dynamic environment. A hybrid work model and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Relationship Management, Vendor Management, Account Management, or similar roles.
• Knowledge of French and English is an asset, both verbally and in writing, with our customers and Aviva teams across Canada.
• Previous experience in property restoration is preferred.
• Preferably, possesses a university degree in business, finance or related field.
• Operational Improvement and/or Project Management certification preferred.
• Significant metric/result-driven mentality, with a bias for speed and action.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into insights. Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Your approach is positive.
• Understanding of finance fundamentals.
• Proven track record of delivering major and balanced financial savings and customer experience improvements.
• Validated leadership skills.
• Validated courage and self-confidence.
• Ability to mediate conflict and resolve issues with alternative solutions.
• Strong change management skills and comfort evolving in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the point of contact for vendor-related inquiries.
• Track, develop and analyze data to assess vendor performance; identify trends and gaps to improve metrics.
• Resolve appropriate vendor coverage.
• Assist with negotiations of vendor agreements, SLAs and contracts with Procurement, Aviva Legal and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate vendor-related efforts during catastrophic events with reporting requirements.
• Lead development of tools and templates to support ongoing strategy.
• Provide risk identification, evaluation, monitoring and escalation for vendor management.
