The City of Thunder Bay seeks a dedicated individual for a cleaning and maintenance position within its logistics department. This role involves maintaining cleanliness of the fleet and facilities, alongside basic vehicle maintenance. Ideal candidates will possess good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork. A valid Ontario driver's license is required, along with the ability to perform physical tasks.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Superintendent – Logistics, is responsible for the cleaning and basic maintenance of the fleet, along with regular maintenance, deep cleaning and sanitizing of stations. Re-stocks supplies at stations and for the fleet as required, and calibrates/re-calibrates equipment, as scheduled.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires the ability to generate force (lifting/pushing/pulling) up to 50lbs on an occasional basis; ability to perform carrying up and down stairs; ability to tolerate repetitive shoulder movement on an occasional basis; ability to tolerate standing and walking on a frequent basis; ability to tolerate occasional twisting, bending, and crouching
