The City of Thunder Bay is seeking a reliable maintenance/cleaning associate to support fleet and station sanitation, stock management, and light vehicle service. This role emphasizes teamwork, independent work, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Candidates should have a Grade 12 education, experience with warehouse operations, and a valid Ontario driver's license. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required.
Under the general supervision of the Superintendent – Logistics, is responsible for the cleaning and basic maintenance of the fleet, along with regular maintenance, deep cleaning and sanitizing of stations. Re-stocks supplies at stations and for the fleet as required, and calibrates/re-calibrates equipment, as scheduled.
This position requires the ability to generate force (lifting/pushing/pulling) up to 50lbs on an occasional basis; ability to perform carrying up and down stairs; ability to tolerate repetitive shoulder movement on an occasional basis; ability to tolerate standing and walking on a frequent basis; ability to tolerate occasional twisting, bending, and crouching
Occasional = up to 33% of working day; Frequent = 34-66% of working day;
