Vehicle Analyst - Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team
The Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team is seeking a Vehicle Analyst to join our team. The role focuses on ensuring all project quality targets are met, managing launch timelines and deliverables, and facilitating the transition to volume production.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level within the scope (including managing Quality Assurance Fixtures).
- Participate in developing the geometric monitoring plan at the assembly line.
- Ensure geometric quality convergence during industrialization before volume production.
- Report component and assembly quality issues, collaborating to resolve issues related to design, part conformity, and manufacturing.
- Analyze issues, identify quality optimization solutions, define pilots for each issue, and communicate effectively to meet BCI KPIs.
- Read and interpret part dimensional data; resolve interior fit and finish issues.
- Prepare high-level presentations using Excel and PowerPoint; demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Coordinate activities with other departments such as HMI, Corporate Quality, SQ, and Perceived Quality related to Interior Execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (Materials, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace) from an ABET-accredited university.
- Experience in automotive Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, or Product Quality.
- Knowledge of APQP / PPAP and Supplier Quality Manual.
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis, metrology principles, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Understanding of defect resolution, escalation processes, and follow-up.
- Knowledge of metrology principles and statistical analysis for process control.
- Understanding of vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
- Familiarity with tooling and in-plant processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop action plans and lead issue resolution procedures.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively.
