Job summary

EllisDon Corporation seeks a Virtual Design and Construction Coordinator to support design and construction teams by creating drawings and 3D models using CAD and Revit. You will work with engineers and designers to develop 3D information for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, and field layout.

You will assist with VDC/BIM requirements, create 3D models of architectural and MEP elements, perform clash detection, and communicate updated site logistics plans to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• 3–5 years' experience with VDC/BIM software, primarily Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Navisworks.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with engineers and designers to create drawings and 3D models using CAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with PMs/Construction Managers to develop 3D info for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling and field layout.
• Assist with VDC/BIM requirements for subcontractors on VDC/BIM projects.
• Create 3D models of architectural and MEP elements for visualization and review.
• Perform clash detection and help develop solutions with the project team.
• Communicate updated 3D site logistics plan and 4D modeling to stakeholders.
• Act as Model Administrator for assigned projects.
• Assist others in using VDC/BIM software as required.
