Job summary

CadMakers Inc. is seeking an MEP VDC/BIM Specialist to join our Digital Construction team in Burnaby, BC. You will build coordinated, construction-ready MEP models in Revit (LOD 350–400) and lead MEP coordination across trades, producing fabrication outputs and as-built documentation.

We value hands-on experience with clash detection, RFIs, and continuous improvement of templates and automation. This is a full-time hybrid role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of MEP modeling and BIM/VDC coordination experience.
• Advanced Autodesk Revit MEP skills: worksharing, linked models, shared coordinates, system modeling, families, views and sheets.
• Hands-on clash detection and issue tracking in Navisworks Manage, Revizto or ACC.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection systems in the field, including clearances, access, hangers and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings and submittals.
• Track record of producing coordinated layout and penetration drawings.
• Familiarity with LOD requirements, BEP and model QA/QC.
• Clear communicator who can run a coordination meeting.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working independently.
• Supportive team player with a proactive, detail-oriented attitude and a passion for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Build Construction-Level MEPF models to LOD 350–400 with actual sizes and clearances.
• Model mechanical rooms in full detail including equipment and piping.
• Lead MEP coordination and run clash detection.
• Deliver constructability insights with virtual RFIs and reports.
• Run coordination meetings with contractors, trades and engineers.
• Produce construction drawings and fabrication data for BOMs.
• Own project delivery and guide other modelers on scope and quality.
• Improve MEP standards, templates and automation to speed projects.
