Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a skilled VDC/BIM professional to support the deployment of Building Information Modeling across projects in Canada. You will act as Model Administrator, coordinate with design teams, and help resolve constructability issues in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes 4D scheduling, model quality, and efficient information flow between subcontractors and in-house teams. A strong background in Revit and MS Project/Primavera P6 is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Completion of Construction Management Certificate Program or equivalent an asset.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working with VDC/BIM software, primarily Revit.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with MS Project/Primavera P6.
• Ability to work autonomously with good judgment and initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform VDC/BIM deployment duties and model administration for projects.
• Conduct design coordination and identify constructability issues with project team and subcontractors.
• Develop schedule visualization models and 4D simulations.
• Coordinate with BIM service providers and subcontractors; lead model coordination meetings.
• Assist in the BIM Execution Plan administration and change management.
• Coordinate 3D laser scans/point cloud models for as-built and FM data.
