Job summary

The CMA CGM Group is recruiting a Marine Operations Manager for our Vancouver office. You will oversee all marine and terminal operations for the ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert and provide cross-functional support for Seattle, Halifax, Montreal and St. John’s.

You will drive operational efficiency, audit OPEX performance, and collaborate with rail providers, port authorities and customers to sustain growth and cost effectiveness while upholding the CMA CGM standard of service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation/ Logistics.
  • 5 years in the shipping industry, with strong knowledge of Terminal and Marine operations.
  • Effective leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Solid commercial understanding and business awareness.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day marine and terminal operations across Western Canada.
  • Strive for exceptional customer service and promote CMA CGM brand in the industry.
  • Manage cost-effective marine operations by reviewing KPIs and updating Executive Management.
  • Maintain strong communication with marine terminals, port authorities, pilots, and rail providers.
  • Drive operational efficiency to meet production targets and support the OPEX savings plan.
  • Improve vessel on-time performance by aligning sailings with shift schedules.
