Tundra Process Solutions in Fort St. John is seeking a Field Valve Technician Assistant to support field service on ball, gate, choke, and control valves. You will assist the lead technician with service calls, maintenance of the service truck, and required paperwork.

The role requires 2+ years in oil and gas, valid forklift ticket, hoisting and rigging training, and a willingness to relocate to Fort St. John if needed. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience.
• Strong communication via phone or email.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Pressure testing experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operations ticket.
• Experience and training in hoisting and rigging.
• Small Crane Certificate is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Must be local to Fort St. John or willing to relocate.

Job description

Tundra Process Solutions is currently seeking a Field Valve Technician Assistant based out of our Fort St. John Branch. Do you eat, sleep and breathe valves in various varieties? Are you a self-starter that has the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the fly? If yes, then you might just be who we're looking for.

The Role

• Field servicing of Ball and Gate Valves
• Repairs and inspections of Choke and Control Valves
• Repair of ESD Valves and Components
• In-house repairs to Manifold Valves, Actuators and ANSI Valves
• Assistant to Lead with Tundra Service Truck - this includes maintenance, upkeep and applicable paperwork
• Forklift Operations

The Candidate

• At least 2+ years of industry experience in the Oil and Gas Sector
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients via phone or email
• Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Experience in pressure testing is preferred
• Valid Forklift Operations Ticket
• Experience and training in both Hoisting and Rigging
• Small Crane Certificate is an asset
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract
• Must be local to the Fort St.John area or willing to relocate

Compensation

$22-28 per hour. Pay may vary based on skills, expertise, and performance, and is a component of the total rewards package.
