Job summary

Wajax Corporation in Edmonton is seeking a service technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and recondition Pressure Relief Valves. This role involves cleaning valves, inspecting internal parts, updating documentation, and ensuring safety standards are met.

You will communicate needs to your supervisor and complete service paperwork, with training opportunities available. The company emphasizes a professional image, collaboration with manufacturers, and adherence to Health & Safety programs

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Clean valves for inspection and document critical dimensions.
  • Update and maintain valve documentation.
  • Paint and tag valves as required.
  • Communicate servicing needs with Branch Supervisor/Manager.
  • Complete service paperwork and work orders.
  • Participate in training and health & safety programs.
  • Operate in a safe workplace and follow hazard assessments.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers' online support and maintain professional image.

Job description

Responsible for providing quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical support to the customers. Responsible for the diagnosing, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of Pressure Relief Valves.

The Role

Cleaning valves for inspection, inspecting internal parts including measurement and documentation of critical dimensions.

Update and maintain documentation information for the valves

Painting and tagging as required.

Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Branch Supervisor/Manager.

Communicate work performed and complete service paperwork.

Complete work orders

Participate in manufacturers’ and in house service training. Training may occur during work and/or after work hours.

Participate in all required Health & Safety Training.

Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices.

Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace.

Work with Manufacturers online support.

Maintain a professional company image at all times.

Meet requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments

The Candidate
  • Computer Experience: Proficient on a computer. Easily able to and willing to learn new software.
  • Work Experience: Basic Pressure Relief Valve experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge: Proficient written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work with customers, exceptional customer service; demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem-solving skills.
