Job summary

Stream-Flo Industries is seeking a Valve Technician to repair valve equipment. You will tear down, reassemble, troubleshoot, test, grease and stamp valves according to specifications.

The role involves reading travelers and work orders to prepare repair estimates and ensuring timely completion of quality work. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with experience in valves/chokes within the oilfield industry, can operate a forklift, and communicates well in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with relevant valves/chokes and oilfield experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with basic hand and power tool knowledge.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Good communication skills, interpersonal, customer service and problem solving.
• Well organized and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair per standards and work orders.

• Troubleshoot issues arising with equipment.
• Receive equipment when required and maintain stock.
• Inform Supervisor/Lead Hand of irregularities with orders or equipment.

• Afterhours availability when required.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Customer Property/Remanufacturing, the Valve Technician will be responsible for repairs of all valve equipment.

Key Position Functions Include

• Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications
• Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves
• Understand & Write travelers and work orders for estimate to repair
• Trouble shoot issues that may arise with equipment
• Receive equipment when required
• Maintain stock
• Inform Supervisor/Lead Hand of any irregularities with orders or equipment
• Meet completion deadlines while producing quality work and a quality product
• Afterhours availability when required

Preferred Candidates Will possess a combination Of The Following

• High School Diploma with relevant experience with valves/chokes and oilfield industry preferred
• Mechanically inclined; basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Good communication (oral and written), interpersonal, customer service, and problem solving skills
• Well organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
