Job summary

Emerson is seeking skilled contributors to assemble manifolds, valves, and related products on a on-site basis in Ontario. You will read engineering drawings, follow procedures, operate test equipment, and use tools as required. The role requires solid communication, teamwork, and mechanical aptitude, with overtime on occasion.

A background check is required and prior manufacturing experience is a plus. The compensation reflects the local market and merits based on performance during reviews.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent post-secondary education required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work well with others, be flexible, and have problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Assemble/build manifolds, valves, and related products.
  • Properly follow work instructions and procedures, written and verbal.
  • Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings.
  • Operate product test equipment.
  • Operate power tools, drills, impact gun and manual hand tools. Use assembly jigs and any other tools and equipment that may be necessary.
  • Prepare name plates, Mylar labels, print I&M sheets.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
