Job summary

Centennial Food Solutions in Richmond, BC is seeking a Value Add Production Lead Hand to support daily production and operations in the value-added department. You will assist the Manager, oversee the value-added line, and complete administrative tasks to ensure customers receive high-quality products.

Responsibilities include supporting the production line, preparing value-added products, monitoring workflow, managing inventory, and handling warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or production is an asset.
• Knowledge of seafood processing or inventory management is an asset.
• Willingness to work with raw seafood products.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs safely.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the value-added production line.
• Prepare value-added products (bacon-wrapped scallops, salmon burgers, salmon wellington) per specs.
• Monitor production workflow to meet quality/volume requirements.
• Ensure inventory is stocked based on production demand.
• Track inventory levels and communicate with purchasing when stock is low.
• Maintain accurate records of orders and shipments.
• Prepare daily butcher shop reports.
• Prepare, pack and palletize orders as required.
• Assist with general warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with team for timely order fulfillment.

Starting Minimum: $19.00/hour

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Position Summary:

The Value-Added Lead Hand plays a key role in supporting daily production and operations within the value-added department. This position assists the Manager in overseeing the value-added line, completing administrative tasks, and ensuring customers consistently receive high‑quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

• Support the daily operation of the value-added production line.
• Prepare value-added products (including bacon-wrapped scallops, salmon burgers, and salmon wellington) according to established specifications.
• Monitor production workflow to meet quality and volume requirements.
• Ensure inventory is adequately stocked based on production demand.

Administrative Duties

• Track inventory levels and communicate with the purchasing team when stock is low.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of orders and shipments.
• Prepare and complete daily butcher shop reports.

Warehouse Support

• Prepare, pack, and palletize orders as required.
• Assist with general warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous warehouse or production experience is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of seafood processing, value-added production, or inventory management is an asset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience using pallet jacks is an asset.
• Forklift experience is considered an asset.
• Willingness to work with raw meat products.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively.
• Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor.
• Previous work experience is an asset but not required.
• Training will be provided.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices.
