Baker Tilly Canada is seeking a Manager, Valuations & Corporate Finance to lead valuation engagements, ensure timely deliverables, and mentor staff. The role spans Quality of Earnings, due diligence, impairment testing, and PPA work for IFRS reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA and CBV designation required.
• Minimum 3 years of valuation experience in a professional services firm.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with financial modelling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent business development skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the review and preparation of business valuations using various valuation methodologies.
• Lead Quality of Earnings and Due Diligence engagements.
• Assist with impairment tests and purchase price allocations for IFRS reporting.
• Prepare and present valuation reports, databooks, and client deliverables.
• Oversee engagement timelines and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in valuations.
• Manage, develop, and mentor staff; support their professional growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Support Partners in relationship management and practice development.
