Job summary

Permasearch, a TPI Company, is looking for an intermediate accounting professional to fill the role of Valuations Associate. The successful candidate will prepare reports and financial analyses, develop valuation models, and manage multiple valuation files while liaising with clients and advisors.

The role demands post-secondary education in accounting or finance, preferably with a CPA designation, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accountant experience.
• Public accounting firm experience is preferred.
• A keen interest in Valuations (CBV Enrolment asset) is required.

Are you a skilled, intermediate accounting professional with a strong interest in Valuations? Our client is seeking a Valuations Associate to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate schedules and reports, including forecasts, earnings analyses, valuation models, and loss quantifications
• Complete pricing analyses for the purchase/sale of businesses and develop detailed financial models
• Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including formal valuation reports and quality of earnings analyses
• Assist with engagement planning by identifying core issues and researching relevant industry valuation drivers
• Work with team members to finalize valuation analyses and provide regular file status updates to managers
• Manage multiple valuation files concurrently while liaising with clients, accountants, and external advisors
• Perform other tasks and duties as required

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in accounting or finance required
• CPA designation is preferable
• A keen interest in Valuations is required (CBV Enrolment asset)
• 2+ years Accountant experience
• Understanding of accounting standards for private enterprises
• Public accounting firm experience is preferred
• Robust attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks or Simply Accounting
• Working knowledge of Caseware and TaxPrep (assets)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
