Role Description :

Aspida Re Services is seeking a Valuation Actuary to join their team. The role involves assisting with reserving and product modeling, reporting to the Senior Actuary, and requires onsite presence in Bermuda.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Developing, maintaining, and executing financial reporting models and reports.
• Leading quarterly and annual actuarial valuations, including BEL calculations and reserve rollforwards.
• Preparing EBS technical provisions and supporting capital reporting according to BMA regulations.
• Contributing to regulatory filings and management reports.
• Enhancing actuarial models for existing and new treaties.
• Participating in experience studies and refining actuarial assumptions.
• Monitoring assumptions against current trends.
• Maintaining documentation to ensure compliance.
• Streamlining valuation processes and strengthening model governance.
• Handling ad hoc projects and collaborating with teams.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Experience with US GAAP, US Stat, Bermuda EBS, or similar standards.
• Proficiency with Moody’s Axis or similar software.
• Data management skills in R, Python, or related languages are a plus.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with good organizational and writing abilities.
