Job summary

Indigo Park Canada is hiring for a valet/customer service role in Halifax. The position handles guest greetings, vehicle parking/retrieval, and ticketing while prioritizing safety and efficiency. The role supports a busy outdoor setting requiring strong communication and teamwork.

Full-time from Oct 1 to Dec 20, about 36 hours weekly, with 8- or 9-hour shifts. After Dec 20, employment shifts to casual with hours based on needs and availability. Training, uniform, and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Valet experience considered an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles in tight and confined spaces.
• Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Safely park and retrieve customer vehicles.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before taking custody of vehicles.
• Issue and collect valet tickets.
• Ensure keys are stored securely and vehicles are properly locked.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Provide directions and answer customer questions.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalates issues when required.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Work Schedule

• Full-time from October 1 to December 20 .
• Approximately 36 hours per week, with 8- or 9-hour shifts
• Shifts may be scheduled on weekdays, evenings, and weekends between 7:00 AM and 12:00 AM
• Schedule may vary based on operational needs

After December 20, the position will transition to casual employment, with hours offered based on operational requirements and employee availability.
