Job summary

Wenco International Mining Systems, a Hitachi Construction Machinery subsidiary, seeks a UX Designer II to own user-centered design for one or more mining software products. You will research, analyze, design, and evaluate, influence product direction, mentor junior designers, and help shape UX standards.

This contract role runs through October 2027 with a base salary of $75,000–$92,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UX Design experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in UX or equivalent.
• Portfolio of previous work demonstrating successful design solutions.
• Willingness to travel to customers' sites.
• Experience leading design with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own user-centered design for one or more products.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering, and UX to deliver solutions.
• Lead end-user research, build prototypes, and conduct usability tests.
• Develop IA, UI flows, and design guidelines for information architecture.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to UX standards.
