Job summary

Amazon is seeking a UX Designer II to craft experiences for its high-volume hiring portfolio. You will collaborate with product management, engineering, and research to deliver human-centered solutions across fulfillment centers, customer service, and grocery operations.

You’ll synthesize qualitative and quantitative data, design AI-assisted scheduling and status flows, and communicate design strategy through strong storytelling. This role emphasizes scalable patterns and edge-case handling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience.
• Online portfolio demonstrating design craft, problem-solving process, and shipped work.
• Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and interactive prototyping; familiarity with AI-assisted prototyping or coding tools to accelerate concept exploration and prototype development.
• Experience gathering user data (e.g., usability studies, user research) and creating personas and journey maps.
• Experience leading design projects from concept through execution, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and CX specifications.
• Proficiency with current accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end design solutions for difficult hiring workflows, from research synthesis through interactive prototypes, presenting a variety of solutions and clearly representing the benefits and trade-offs of each approach.
• Partner with engineering and product management in the execution and delivery of successful products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.
• Design for AI-assisted high-volume hiring surfaces where AI systems screen candidates, manage appointment scheduling, surface availability windows, and flag qualification mismatches.
• Determine best UX solutions based on customer feedback and business goals. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions at the feature and product level.
• Utilize storytelling and presentation skills to communicate design strategy, outcomes, and deliverables to partners and stakeholders.
• Improve design patterns, standards, methods, and/or processes for the team; foster UX artifact reuse and consistency.
