This role involves applying standard inspection procedures for multiple NCDOT projects, coordinating the installation and/or relocation of overhead and underground utilities throughout Division 11, covering Alleghany, Ashe, Caldwell, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yadkin Counties. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with contractors and the public. This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship except for TN visa classification.
This is a full-time, long-term, permanent position responsible for inspection and utility coordination during and after construction, ensuring structural quality, safety, and adherence to plans, specifications, and codes.
Fieldwork involving bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting objects up to 25 lbs. Outside work in various weather conditions.
