Utility Technician II Overview
The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is currently inviting applications for the full-time position of Utility Technician II to ensure the efficient and continuous supply and treatment of potable water to the SCRD, and the efficient and effective treatment of the SCRD’s sanitary sewer systems. Work is performed to ensure that service delivery meets the expectations of internal and external customers, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory and license requirements. Compensation and Benefits

In addition to three weeks of vacation, we offer 13 paid statutory holidays (after 30 days of employment), as well as paid family responsibility leave, sick leave, short-term and long-term disability leave, group life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, participation in the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP), and free confidential counselling services.
The Utility Technician II is a bargaining unit position with a wage rate of $43.58 per hour, working 37.5 hours per week. A relocation allowance up to $3,000 may be available, depending upon the location of the applicant. A combination of experience and skills may be considered, with the possibility of a training opportunity, as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
