Job Description

What's the Job?

Utility Janitors are essential team members who ensure the cleanliness and organization of the site. They work with the Lodge Manager to uphold safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.

1. Clean and sanitize all common areas, including the gym, rec room, boot room, and front lobby.
2. Collect and remove garbage and recyclables.
3. Perform floor care, including sweeping and mopping.
4. Clean and sanitize all public washrooms.
5. Clean and sanitize management offices and the front desk area.
6. Remove garbage from dorms and dispose of it at the designated site daily.
7. Manage laundry collection, distribution, and processing in the camp.
8. Conduct planned utility checks on assets within the camp.
9. Troubleshoot utility issues such as clogged toilets, leaky faucets, or damaged equipment.
10. Replace doorknobs, lightbulbs, and other items as needed.
11. Cut and test keys for all doors as required.
12. Hang or remove items from walls.
13. Inspect, clean, and replace filters as needed.
14. Transport staff as required.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Valid G license required.
2. Experience with light power tools required.
3. Experience working in busy environments.
4. Ability to work independently and stay focused.
5. Previous hotel or camp experience is an asset.
6. Good oral and written communication skills.
