Job summary

Toromont Material Handling, a TMH division of Toromont Industries Ltd., seeks a Used and Rental Equipment Manager to oversee the rental operation, pricing, budgeting and repairs while monitoring asset readiness. The role advances rental marketing and branch targets within a safety-first environment.

The position offers a full-time permanent role with annual base pay between $85,265 and $106,580, plus potential bonuses within a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• University degree in administration with a technical and/or business focus.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the Rental industry.
• Ability to mine and analyze data to support decision making.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Job description

Used and Rental Equipment Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of the Material Handling rental operation inclusive of capital acquisition, annual budgeting, staffing, marketing, setting commercial terms and rates, and authorizing necessary repairs and fleet disposition pricing. Additionally, the incumbent will proactively monitor the rental readiness of all MH Rents assets.

$85,265.00 – $106,580.00

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Set branch rental targets and drive continuous focus and awareness of rental results through sales force. Develop and own rental business and marketing plans Promote MH rental business directly and alongside machine sales reps in each of the territories as required.
• Maintain to an optimum condition and maximize the availability of all MH Equipment and attachmentsSupervise day to day rental operations with on-going coaching of rental specialists and collaborate with Service Leadership Team
• Maintain required training of the Manufacturer (MLA) and other manufacturers’ product line
• Promote and participate in workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviours and objectives at all times in support if Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy/ Programs and best practices

Must-haves for this role:

• University degree in administration education with a technical and/or business focus; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the Rental industry
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills with a sense of urgency
• Ability to mine and analyze data to support decision making
• Technical aptitude with rolling equipment Products would be an asset
• Self-motivated and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Bilingualism is an asset
