The opportunity

As a Senior Tax Staff – US tax, you will be part of the International Tax and Transaction Services Practice. We assist clients in identifying and meeting their US tax compliance obligations and navigating cross-border taxation issues. Your key responsibilities

Senior Tax Staff in our U.S. Tax practice participate in and supervise multiple challenging tax engagements, contributing to compliance services and innovative tax planning for diverse clients.

Core elements of the role include

  • Understanding tax concepts related to U.S. Corporate Federal and state income tax compliance, U.S. income tax provision review, and preparation.
  • Preparing and reviewing U.S. corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clients and U.S. income tax provisions for public and private companies.
  • Conducting federal and state tax research, analyzing cross-border tax issues, and drafting technical memos.
  • Developing and delivering innovative tax planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Providing practical solutions and arriving at appropriate conclusions for clients’ tax situations.
  • Developing tax recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Making informed decisions in complex, judgmental areas.
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Sharing knowledge to develop professionally and improve service delivery.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for tax planning and other services.
  • Leveraging technology to maximize productivity.
  • Participating in national initiatives.
  • Supervising team members and encouraging effective communication.
  • Participating in recruiting efforts when needed.
  • Contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented culture that fosters personal development.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in US Tax.
  • Completion of the US CPA or US Enrolled Agent certification, or actively pursuing either credential.
  • Strong supervisory, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines.
  • A process-oriented work approach and excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
