Job summary

Come work as a Medical Office Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health at UBC Urgent and Primary Care Centre in Vancouver, BC.

Within a team based model of care and reporting to the Program Manager, the Medical Office Assistant performs registration and clerical support functions for the Primary Care Clinic which sees patients and families who require high priority care within 24 hours.

Qualifications

• Grade 12, graduation from a Medical Office Assistant program.
• 1 year of recent, related clinical medical office support experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and provide clerical support for the Primary Care Clinic.
• Support the UPCC model of care and local Community of Care service delivery.
• Follow Vancouver Coastal Health policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork with staff and patients.
