Job summary

Frima invites an Unreal (C++) Programmer to join our game programming team and help push our projects to the next level. Based in Quebec City and Montreal, Frima has over 20 years of experience and a passion for unforgettable games across platforms.

We offer a 4.5-day workweek, flexible remote/hybrid/on-site options for Quebec residents, up to 7 weeks of vacation, insurance, RRSP, and a $400 ergonomic equipment allowance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Approximately five years in programming, including at least one year with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
  • Cross‑platform game development experience is a strong asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English; collaboration with English-speaking partners.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in meetings with the development team to discuss ongoing work and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the creation of prototypes and the development of new features.
  • Program and develop robust systems and high-quality code that meet technical and design requirements to ensure the smooth operation of our games.
  • Integrate assets such as 3D models, animations, user interfaces, visual effects, and audio.
  • Contribute to the development of tools that improve the team’s efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure the quality of our work.

Frima is looking for an Unreal (C++) Programmer to help take our game programming team to the next level.

Job Description

What your weeks will look like

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Approximately five (5) years of experience in a programming role, including at least one (1) year of experience with Unreal Engine (4 or 5)
  • Experience in cross-platform game development is considered a strong asset
  • Ability to travel internationally when required
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English. English proficiency is required, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners.
