Job Opportunity: Student Assistant at Hydro One

Location: Toronto
Type: Temporary, 12 Months

Position Overview

The student will assist the Operating Engineering - Project Enablement group, responsible for:

• Providing Operating Engineering input to various groups (Control Room, Engineering, Asset Management, Operating Technology, Project Management) by reviewing Transmission & Distribution projects.
• Performing power system studies and defining operating settings for relays and voltage regulation equipment.
• Assigning operating designations and creating facility sketches for new or refurbished facilities.
• Creating and maintaining the Milestone Record System (MRS) for major projects.
• Updating bulk electricity system diagrams.

Additional Duties

University students may also:

• Assist in revising or creating facility sketches using AutoCAD 2-D.
• Analyze data and update project records in MRS.
• Help prepare updates to Operating Engineering processes and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, planners, engineers, and designers.

Professional Development Opportunities
