Job Overview

Students will assist the Operating Engineering - Project Enablement group, responsible for:

1. Providing Operating Engineering input to various groups by reviewing transmission and distribution projects.
2. Performing power system studies and defining operating settings for relays.
3. Assigning designations and creating facility sketches for assets/facilities.
4. Creating and maintaining project milestone records and system diagrams.

Job Duties

Responsibilities may include:

1. Revising or creating facility sketches and drawings using AUTOCAD 2-D.
2. Gathering and analyzing data to update project records.
3. Assisting in updating engineering processes and standards.
4. Collaborating with project team members.

Professional Development Opportunities

Students will gain knowledge and skills in:

1. Electrical energy and power systems engineering.
2. Electrical diagrams and components modeling.
3. Transmission line auto reclosing, voltage regulation, and synchronization techniques.
4. Renewable energy integration and distributed energy resources.

Selection Criteria

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Power Systems.
• Minimum 3rd-year student.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD 2-D is essential.
