General Accountabilities:

• Assisting Senior Engineering Staff with Standards Design work related to Protection, Controls, and Networks for the Power system.

This role offers professional development in the following areas:

• Understanding of Stations Layout, Protection, Control, and Metering of the Power System.
• Knowledge of SCADA automation, LAN Network, and cybersecurity in the power system.
• Improving communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Fundamentals of Power Systems, Electrical Circuits, Physics, and High Voltage Engineering.

Selection Criteria:

• Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Academic Level: Completed 3rd year.
• Other requirements: Submission of a Personal Risk Assessment from Metropolitan Toronto Police.

Applicants must be enrolled in post-secondary studies and plan to return to full-time studies after the work term, unless the work is required for graduation. Applications are accepted only via Hydro One’s career page.
