Job summary

Intact is seeking a Unit Claims Manager, Property, to join our Mississauga team. You will lead a property claims unit, drive performance, ensure process quality, and manage resources to meet budget and service goals.

You will oversee claims decisions, train staff, and promote our brand and standards with partners; bilingual in French and English is an asset. This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Property Adjuster.
• Prior team management experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of personal and commercial lines insurance.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
• Cares about people.
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to achievement of corporate and regional objectives by measuring team performance, ensuring claims processing quality, adherence to standards and productivity.
• Manage team activities by organizing, planning and controlling resources within budget while promoting teamwork and providing training.
• Participate in the improvement of operational processes.
• Make decisions for the team regarding claims processing and indemnity payments according to company standards.
• Promote the brand image and business principles to partners.
• Conduct active file hearings throughout the year.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

101,800 - 124,400
Annual Bonus Target, Based On The Base Salary, With a Potential Payout Of Up To Double The Target (subject To Personal And Company Performance)

About The Role

We’re looking for a Unit Claims Manager, Property, to join our growing team in the Mississauga office!

What You'll Do Here

• Contribute to the achievement of corporate and regional objectives by measuring the performance of his or her team, ensuring the quality of claims processing, the level of compliance with standards, procedures and productivity.
• Manage the activities of his/her team by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to the budget, while promoting teamwork and providing technical training.
• Participate in the improvement of operational processes.
• Make decisions for his/her team regarding the processing of claims and the payment of indemnities in accordance with company standards.
• Promote the brand image and business principles to partners.
• Conduct active file hearings throughout the year.

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 3 years of experience as a Property Adjuster
