Job Title: Underwriting Team Lead

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages an underwriting team, responsible for business results, profitability, and business development within a designated book of business.
• Works with senior management within the limits of authority, with regional and/or industry segment scope.
• Directs work activities and manages the performance and development of underwriters, coaching and developing team members and underwriting training programs.
• Participates in developing and implementing underwriting policies, marketing strategies, and business plans.
• Reviews and applies underwriting policies and pricing strategies for risks within the assigned book.
• Markets products and services, fostering relationships with brokerage partners to drive profitable business.
• Maintains broker relationships and reports progress to senior management.
• Stays informed on relevant provincial/federal regulations, industry trends, and activities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Salary range in British Columbia: $120,000 to $155,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
