Position Overview
This role offers practical experience in the insurance industry, working with our Toronto-based team. You will be mentored by industry professionals, involved in meaningful projects, and have opportunities to engage with leadership. The position supports Temple Insurance Company, a Canadian licensed insurer and a subsidiary of Munich Re.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Setting up new business for casualty and property underwriters
2. Preparing loss runs
3. Conducting file completeness audits
4. Preparing quotes and binders
5. Reviewing policy documents and wordings
6. Assisting in analyzing client submissions
7. Requesting and following up on account information
8. Attending luncheons with underwriters and clients
9. Researching for client events and promotional materials
10. Preparing reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
11. Supporting department underwriters and managers

Qualifications
We seek well-rounded individuals with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and relationship-building abilities. Specific qualifications include:

1. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field, with a focus on insurance
2. Excellent spoken and written communication skills
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
4. Strong mathematical aptitude
5. Attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
6. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
7. Ability to work independently and in a team
8. Leadership qualities such as curiosity, integrity, and drive
9. Previous relevant work experience (preferred, about 4+ months)
