Job summary

Northbridge Insurance in Canada seeks an experienced underwriter to deliver multi-line solutions for broker partners and assess risks with sound judgment. You’ll work closely with a broad network of brokers to build relationships and provide practical, well balanced decisions.

Our team emphasizes coaching and development, offering CIP/FCIP/RPLU pursuit, education assistance, a hybrid work model, competitive pay, health benefits, pension/RRSP, staff insurance discounts and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of multi-line Underwriting experience (property, casualty; automobile is a plus)
• Completed, or pursuing CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designation

Our Underwriters provide complete solutions for Canadian small businesses. They work closely with a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly.

• Underwriting multi-line business across industry segments
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Building relationships with brokers

If you have:

• 2-5 years of multi-line Underwriting experience - property, casualty (automobile is an asset)
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designation

• Small Business underwriting experience is a plus

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $66,000 - $98,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
