Thyssen Mining is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, safety, financial performance, and successful delivery of underground mining projects across Canada.

In this role you will be the key liaison between clients, stakeholders and site teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. You will mentor site leadership and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Formación

• Proven leadership and project management in underground mining.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and mining standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all aspects of underground mining project delivery, including safety, operations, schedules, budgets, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with Thyssen's Safety Management Plan and all company policies, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in project meetings.
• Manage project resources, workforce planning, recruitment, and team performance.
• Monitor costs, profitability, procurement, and overall project financials.
• Prepare and submit project reports, forecasts, and invoices accurately and on time.
• Coach and mentor site leadership teams, including Superintendents and Mine Captains.
• Support project estimating, tender submissions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion a strong safety-first culture and zero-harm mindset.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, open communication, and operational excellence.
• Provide clear direction and leadership to achieve project goals.
