Job summary

Thyssen Mining is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and successful delivery of underground mining projects across Canada. You will ensure safety, on-time performance, and budget adherence while coordinating clients, stakeholders, and site teams.

Responsibilities include managing safety programs, schedules, costs, and quality, mentoring site leadership, and supporting tender submissions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations and project management.
• Proven leadership, team-building, and workforce management skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with mining and operational software systems.
• Solid understanding of occupational health & safety and mining regulations.
• Ability to train, mentor, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

• Prepare and submit project reports, forecasts, and invoices accurately and on time.
• Coach and mentor site leadership teams, including Superintendents and Mine Captains.
• Support project estimating, tender submissions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
