Job summary

Ontario-based gold producer seeks an experienced General Manager to lead its underground mining operation. The role oversees mining, processing, maintenance, safety, and the cost/operational performance for a site employing 250-300 staff.

Main requirements include prior GM experience in a mine, strong underground mining credentials, and a proven ability to manage a multidisciplinary workforce with integrity and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience as General Manager of an operating mine.
• Strong underground hard-rock mining experience.
• Ability to lead the complete mining and processing value chain.
• Experience managing a large, multidisciplinary site workforce.
• Honest, visible, hands‑on leader with integrity, transparency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the underground mining operation and oversee processing, maintenance, safety, and costs across the value chain.
• Drive operational performance, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance across the site.
• Provide strategic leadership and build a high‑performing, engaged workforce.
