Job summary

Lake Shore Gold, a Timmins, Ontario-based subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is seeking a Mine Technician/Technologist for the Timmins West Mine. The role offers a full-time schedule Mon-Fri, with 8-hour days or 10s as described, and a salary of CAD 85,000–100,000 per year based on qualifications.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer, you will design drill patterns, assist with borehole surveys, conduct ventilation and underground surveying, and support development headings and driving layouts

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year Mine Technician or three-year Mine Technologist college degree or related experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in ventilation, surveying and underground settings.
• Certification as CET (OACETT) is an asset.
• Strong MS Office skills; Deswik experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and issue drill patterns, loading and timing for production blasting.
• Assist with borehole surveys and fragmentation studies.
• Conduct ventilation surveys and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Assist with underground surveying tasks and developing layouts.
• Perform routine underground inspections for planning tasks.
• Gather, analyze data and prioritize work for timely information.
