Job summary

Thyssen Mining seeks an experienced Underground Mine Supervisor to lead underground crews, ensuring safe, productive, and efficient operations across development and production activities.

In this role you will provide safety leadership, coordinate manpower and equipment, monitor targets, and mentor underground personnel, while supporting workforce development and site certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in underground mining
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods and safety practices
• Ability to obtain site-specific certifications and clearances as required

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: promote a strong safety culture and ensure policy compliance
• Operational Oversight: direct daily underground mining activities and coordinate crews
• Production & Planning: monitor targets and assist with shift planning and resource allocation
• Reporting & Documentation: complete daily and production reports and document inspections
