Job summary

Dhilmar is seeking a Shuttle Loader Operator to join its Mining Operations team. The role involves clearing development drifts and production sites using shuttle loaders and adhering to safety procedures.

The successful candidate will have a vocational diploma in mineral extraction, 2+ years of remote-controlled shuttle loader experience, a valid explosives permit, and a valid driver's license. FIFO from Rouyn-Noranda area and other remote sites is common.

Qualifications

• Vocational diploma in mineral extraction or equivalent education and experience.
• 2+ years of remote-controlled shuttle loader operation.
• Valid explosives permit.
• Mining modules 1–5 and 7 completed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bilingual is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clear development drifts and production site areas using a shuttle loader.
• Perform rock fill as required.
• Operate shuttle loader in remote control and remote operation modes.
• Follow work health and safety procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

About the role

The Shuttle Loader Operator is part of the Mining Operations team. He/she is responsible for clearing development drifts and production sites using shuttle loaders.

Essential Duties

• Clear development and production site flights of stairs
• Perform rock fill
• Operate a shuttle loader in remote control and remote operation modes
• Respect and apply work and health and safety procedures
• All tasks related to the performance of duties

Training & Experience

• Vocational diploma in mineral extraction or combination of relevant education and experience
• Two (2) or more years' experience in remote-controlled shuttle loader operation
• Valid explosives permit
• Mining modules 1 to 5 and 7
• Valid driver's license
• Bilingual (asset)

Working Conditions

• Eleonore mine site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
• Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off
