Job summary

Agnico Eagle is seeking a qualified Underground Jumbo Drill Operator to join the Mine Department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Underground Mine, you will perform daily inspections, drill holes per drawings, and ensure health and safety standards are met while upholding the company values.

This role requires a Jumbo certification, about 4000 hours on a manual Jumbo, NAC or DEP in Mineral Extraction (or equivalent). Underground certification is an asset.

Qualifications

• Certification on Jumbo.
• 4000 hours of experience on a manual Jumbo.
• NAC Certification or DEP in Mineral Extraction, or equivalent.
• Underground certification or equivalent, such as Mining Modules and Common Core are an asset.
• Valid approval letter under the explosives regulations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate Jumbo Drill Rig.
• Proceed with daily equipment inspection.
• Inspect your working environment, including scaling rocks.
• Drill the holes according to drawings and specifications.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Operate other equipment associated with the development or production category, as required.
• Obtain certification on other equipment associated to the development or production category, as required.
