Job summary

Dumas Mining is seeking an Underground Mechanic for the Bell Creek project. You will maintain and repair the fleet of heavy mining equipment underground, ensuring reliability and uptime in a fast-paced environment.

Rotation is 7/7 with 10-hour shifts and a wage range of CAD 66.44–77.00 per hour. Eligible for KPI and referral bonuses, site allowances, and comprehensive benefits while focusing on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Red Seal/Journeyman license in a mechanic trade is required.
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment, including jumbos, MacLean bolters, scoops, utility vehicles, and drills.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis for failures.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
