Job summary

A construction contractor in Canada is looking for an experienced Underground Foreman to lead water and sewer crews. This role requires over 5 years of experience in underground construction and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, managing production, and coordinating daily tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and WHMIS & CSTS 2020 certifications, or be willing to obtain them. This role offers various perks and a chance for growth.

UNDERGROUND FOREMAN – Water & Sewer Construction

WCL is looking for an experienced Underground Foreman to lead our water and sewer crews following earthworks. This role is responsible for safety, production, quality, and day‑to‑day coordination of underground operations.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 5+ years experience in underground water and sewer construction.
• Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or senior underground crew member.
• Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and storm pipe installation.
• Solid understanding of line, grade, trench safety, and shoring requirements.
• Ability to plan daily work, coordinate crews, and manage production targets.
• Experience working with excavator operators, pipe layers, topmen, and labourers.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, grades, and project specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Safety‑focused with a strong commitment to site safety and compliance.

REQUIRED TICKETS:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain).

SCHEDULE:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
• 6 days on / 1 day off.
