Job summary

The Windfall project site in northern Quebec seeks an experienced Construction Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise underground activities, ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met. Based at Windfall, you’ll operate on an 8-day cycle with 6 days off, with transportation, accommodation, and meals provided.

Reporting to the construction captain, you’ll lead service and construction teams, develop methodologies, mentor staff, and ensure daily reporting and safety

Qualifications

• Hold a college diploma in mining technology or a professional diploma in ore extraction.
• 5+ years of experience in underground mining.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with First Nations (asset).
• Functional English (asset).
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Explosives license.
• Modular training for mining workers 1 to 7 and 10.

Responsibilities

• Supervise underground service and construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with plans and instructions in daily tasks.
• Observe tasks and plan equipment for upcoming work.
• Notify technical services of discrepancies between plans and field conditions.
• Conduct joint visits with technical services.
• Develop work methodology with workers.
• Mentor and coach workers.
• Assign work for each shift according to priorities.
• Ensure progress with the technical services department.
• Complete daily reports, work cards, and prevention activities.
