Job summary

Thyssen Mining is seeking experienced Construction Miners to join our team in British Columbia. You will perform concrete placement, formwork installation, shotcrete application, and install underground infrastructure on demanding projects.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of underground mining or construction experience, a solid understanding of underground practices, and a strong safety mindset. Camp accommodations and travel provided on applicable projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of underground mining or construction experience.
• Experience with formwork, concrete placement, and shotcrete applications.
• Ability to work safely in a production mining environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of performing demanding underground work.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Concrete placement and finishing.
• Formwork construction and installation.
• Shotcrete application and support activities.
• Installation of underground infrastructure and services.
• Operation of construction tools and equipment.
• Ground support and rehabilitation projects.
• Material handling and site preparation.
• Conducting workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and tradespeople.
