Job summary

Procon Mining and Tunnelling is seeking Underground Miners (Paste Line) for their Northern BC project near Terrace, British Columbia. This contract role offers a 21/21 rotation schedule and the opportunity to work with a leading mine development contractor.

Accommodations are provided at remote site camp, and paid travel to and from the work site is included. Ideal candidates have at least two years of underground mining experience and are safety-conscious and physically capable of lifting up to

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years full-time experience in an underground mining environment.
• Experience with installation of compressed air lines, process and dewater lines, ventilation fans and duct, pumps, and small construction work with steel or concrete.
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Pre-employment alcohol test, drug test, medical and criminal record check required.
• Willingness to work a 3-weeks-on / 3-weeks-off rotational schedule (21/21).

Responsibilities

• Operate underground mining equipment as required (scissor decks, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, boom trucks, trans-mixers, shotcrete sprayers, light vehicles).

What You'll Need

• Minimum two (2) years full-time experience in an underground mining environment
• Experience with installation of compressed air lines, process and dewater lines, ventilation fans and duct, pumps, and small construction work with steel or concrete
• Ability to operate underground mining equipment (scissor decks, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, boom trucks, trans-mixers, shotcrete sprayers, light vehicles)
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Willingness to work a 3-weeks-on / 3-weeks-off rotational schedule (21/21)
• Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and commitment to safety
• Ability to collaborate with diverse crews and adapt to different team dynamics
