William Osler Health System in Brampton, Ontario is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures and support patient care across Osler sites.

The right candidate will be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program, registered with CMRITO, and have CRGS certification in abdomen/OBGYN (RVT/CRVS preferred). ARDMS may be considered, with strong imaging skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
• CMRITO registration required.
• CRGS abdomen/OBGYN; RVT/CRVS preferred; eligible within 6 months.
• ARDMS certification may be considered.
• Experience in abdominal, OB/GYN, paediatric, breast, vascular.
• FMF NT certification an asset.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality ultrasound images.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Physically capable of the job duties.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to teach and consult with clinical educators.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• May travel between Osler sites.

Job Description

Accountabilities:

• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment
• Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding Hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Adhere to organization mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessary
• Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
• Sonography Canada (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with Sonography Canada within six months of the date of hire
• Candidates with ARDMS certification may be considered
• Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferred
• FMF NT certification an asset
• Proven skill in the production of high‑quality ultrasound images
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Physical ability to perform the expected job duties
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities
• Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educators
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
• May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites

Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY:

Minimum: $38.80 per hour

Maximum: $54.52 per hour
